Found these pics of a Traveller but it looks like a Tour.Seems they have the same yolk as the Sport. Clip ons look like they fit on the fork uppers in the same way but they are higher, similar to a NTV650...

Here's another good shot of the stock Traveller set up. I found it to be more than touring friendly.

thanks mine are similar but still to wide
and i used the bars from a saxon tour but not too happy with how strong the whole thing is

pic of what i did when i find the camera

i do not want to drill my stock triple clamp for risers unless have too

but not happy with iT as i have said many times i am not a fan of mods

but it kills my back the way it is....on a long trip i can get there quicker on the rt125
as the traveller just beats the crap out of me

I have found the MZ replica and tour front suspension to be pretty stiff ... it beats up my wrists.
By contrast the Katana FE I have on my GS almost is too soft to even be on a bike that a 100 lb lighter than the intended kat 6.
Maybe putting that FE on a MZ is the answer ... the legs are the same dia ... so they should slide in.
Spacing I think is 1/4" wider on the MZ. Or is that closer to 1/8" Either way ... its close enough a few hours of machining can get you fitted up.
Cool.

MZ is 6", 89-96 katana is 5 and 3/4". The 97 and later katana is 6" I think. I dont have that sitting around now to measure it.
Cool.

My '98 Traveller came with those Italian adjustable handlebars, and they seem to be plenty high enough for me. It also came with a full fairing and the Hepco & Becker bags.

Protip: You can remove the bolts that thread into the fuel tank quite easily if you hold the washer underneath from turning with a pair of pliers....that also keeps the insert from turning.

Clutch perch and cable part numbers

Postby poppanitrous » Tue May 06, 2014 4:36 pm

Besides ordering factory MZ replacements, ive tried a few different levers and had a cable made but it doesnt feel smooth, almost has a gritty feel through the stroke of the clutch pull.

I just read the NINJA EX500 cable will work, but im wondering what part# and what clutch perch and lever can i use from a YAMAHA ir KAWASAKI since that is the only dealer in my area here in the USA (FLORIDA).
I would like an admustable like my motocross bikes but i would be happ with anything smoother than what i have now.
Any ideas and PARTS#s for yamaha/KAWI, CLUTCH CABLE and clutch perch/lever combination thats works on MZ sport clip-ons?

Please P.M. Me with part#s you have used with success.

Thank you
