my home made lever as mine broke a few years ago.. its not pretty but does work, i have been trying some other levers as have yet to find a loever that will work properly for me..

heres a pic of my boot with my heel sat as it should be on the foot peg and as can be seen the gear lever is not in the correct position

heres a pic of my boot with my boot gear lever rubber sat where it should be andn as can be seen my back part of my foot is almost off the peg.. its not perfect but it is a small reach forward to get to the lever...

for future reference my mate works at our local college and they have a baghira they have bought ther for motorcycle menchanic training he just taken some pics for me of the lever on their college bike...

And my Beta Alp by comparison. I`m surprised how different they are in terms of vertical positioning.

I been out on mine all day today and got to say it felt a lot better, I have dropped it a bit, and put a rubber on the end of the piece of steel, also adjusted up the clutch a bit and changed the engine oil it feels a lot better still on the lookout for an original though if anyone has one...
