Future Silencer - Baghira

My Baggie came witha Future silencer fitted but it was excessively loud to my ears (my son thought it was awesome) so I fitted the standard silencer which also came with the bike.

However, the standard can is very heavy compared to the Future which looks to be well made. The vendor told me the this can originally had some baffling which made it much quieter but this had been removed and lost. Does anyone have any pictures of what this baffling looked like and where it fitted? The back end seems to be fixed with 3 allen bolts so i presume it can be dismantled - possibly to allow baffles to be fitted.

If I cannot quieten it down i may well offer it for sale if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Peter,
I have the same after market can on my Mastiff, mine has a mute fitted ( from new) held in with a grub screw tack welded in place at the 6 O-clock position on the tail pipe stub,
Im sure a `Google` search will come up with a suitable mute that can be fitted to reduce the sound.
cheers Eric.

Hi Den,

You can have first refusal if I decide to sell it but for the moment I am going to try and civilise the thing. Its so such lighter than the original its got to be tried.

Thanks Eric, that's just the information I needed. The outlet does have a threaded nut at the base so clearly the mute was of the type in the eBay ad. Looks to me as though it would need a bend in the mute tube to fit properly though.

I'll have a hunt in the scrap metal bin to see if i can find a suitable piece of tubing.

Regards

Hi Den,

I am happy with the standard silencer on my bike so am willing to part with the Future can. I would prefer to swap for other baggie bits rather than sell. I could do with a seat and some of the plastics if you have any bits surplus.

suggest you email me of line to discuss.
