Loony toons

Postby dandywarhol » Tue Nov 15, 2016 1:10 pm

Hi All - just got another SZR660 unfinished project with a 727cc motor, stage 3 Hotcam, Kibblewhite valves, guides, springs, Carillo rod, Projection Components downpipes, FCR35s, Ignitech unit. The chassis has a double disc Brembo front end so it's going to be a busy winter rebuild

Should be a fun ride when you are done.

I'm undecided whether to finish this or put the motor into my stock SZR660

Depends on how much weight you can cut in my opinion. If the project bike is 50lbs lighter, I'd vote to finish the project. You don't need those dual front rotors either unless you are some kinda top level rider and want to do track days with the bike. ;) Ditch one rotor and one caliper and include that in your weight calculations.

Certainly not a top level rider but might be able to get some more on the anchors with 2 discs 8) Turn the sound low - it's crappy - also need to mount the camera off the fairing mount - the single cylinder frequencies and SJ CAM frame rate clash
