top yoke cable routing..

Postby handsomejackuk » Tue Jul 25, 2017 5:27 pm

Have just removed my top yoke again to give it a freshen up with some black paint.. has anyone got an original baghira and can show me how the cables are routed particularly the clutch cable, i always seem to have an issue with it snagging up and quite a stiff clutch....

does it go to the left of the headlight bracket when sat on the bike..

any good pics of how the cables should be routed please...?

thanks

Oooh, that's spooky (almost), I was just about to ask if anyone has any hints/pictures on how best to route the clutch cable on a Traveller. Mine seems to rub against the "dash board"/ inner fairing no matter what I try to do with it. Pictures obviously would be great. On another subject - but the same bike - the horn now works and I have managed to sort out the wiring to the Yamaha TRX headlight so that ALL the lights work. :D

just noticed the throttle cables are sat the petrol tank side of the top yoke mine are the other side headlight side....the throttle works ok, but this could be improved on mine if that was the original position...

I have today, I feel, passed some kind of initiation ritual in MZ ownership.....I have used an old plastic milk container to fashion a "rubbing strip" along the front edge of the inner fairing so that the clutch cable no longer catches but glides smoothly from side to side when the handlebars are turned. It is mostly out of sight so there are no major "cosmetic" issues. :o
