Listers: It is time for me to replace the OEM tires on my Sport Cup. The original Metzlers MEZ1, are no longer available. I am leaning to go with the Pirelli Rossa II, I have not pulled the trigger yet on purchase. I thought I would take a chance here and see possible other recommendations or affirmation of my choice. I am going to stay with the radial/tubeless type, sized 110/70x17 front and 150/60x17 rear. Any input would be appreciated.

Cheers Bertram

Why 110/70x17 front tyre, when 120/60x17 is standard.

I know per the spec sheet, the bike is supposed to run 120/60x17 front and 160/60x17 rear. Yet this is what is presently on the bike. I bought it with only 1053 miles on it from the original owner. Who bought it from the Dealer in 2002. Goes to show how little the public knows and appreciates our brand of bike. If anyone has some insight into what handling differences there are, based on tire size. I am willing to listen. Again I have not pulled the trigger on purchasing tires yet.

Cheers Bertram

Sorry for the confusion.
