Has anyone done this on a Baghira? If so, how did you overcome the problem of limited clearance between the bottom of the ignition switch and the headlamp mounting bracket? See pic above.

I’m thinking the only option is to cut away as much of the top part of the bracket as I can. It looks over-engineered anyway :-D I will also reposition the cable to run forwards, rather than back towards the headstock as this will give me another few millimetres clearance.

Thanks

Hi, sorry I didn't answer you previously, just slide the fork tubes through the yokes and fit some 20mm-30mm handlebar risers to allow for the fork adjusters so they don't hit the bottom of the bars, it won't affect the position of the ignition or frame bracket etc as you won't be moving the top yoke at all, just sliding the forks through it. I have done it on loads and it makes for a more comfortable riding position for the bars as well.

Haha. Brilliant! Yes, I had totally over-thought this and misled myself. I feel like a right numpty now, but not as much as if I'd started hacking the bracket to within an inch (or millimetre) of its life :-D

Thanks once again, Jon.

Cheers mate. My Baghira forks have now been successfully been raised through the yokes by 30mm and the rear lowered by the same amount using extended dog bones. Jon (homebrew) is interested in your forks, though, so looks like you might have a sale there. GLWS.
