rear shock

Postby Retired1 » Fri Nov 09, 2018 12:24 am

Was working on my new to me '02 skorpion traveler, tried to bump up the spring preload and lo and behold! The spring adjuster collar has split! I suspect riding it will result in a sudden ride height reduction. Anyone have a decent shock lying around or what is the latest compatible replacement? I seem to have read the R6 will bolt in directly, is a spring change in order? any help would be greatly appreciated.

Crisis delayed! I made a tool to compress the spring enough to unload the adjuster ring and welded it back together, along with tacking it to the shock body. adjustability is overrated anyway!

I see its been quite a while since yr last post & just wanted to mention what I did when my rear shock failed on my 01 traveller. I bought a Hagon shock. Way more robust in every way & adjustable too. Model HA M67080. Cost U.S. $394.00
