Couple of SM125 questions

Postby Kenny » Tue Aug 24, 2010 4:55 pm

I just have a couple of questions to ask;

1)Whats the redline limit for the SM125, tachometer

2)What are the optional motors for the SM125 perferrably a 250cc 4stroke - Kawi, Suzuki, Yamaha or Honda....

Thanks,
Ken

my rt125 has a tach it is red lined at 10,500udm/rpm
sm runs nice 250cc motor will not make it go much faster
just buy a baggie and have fun save the sm for short runs

Dave,

Thanks for the tach info was a little concerned about where the rev limit is on my sm125, as for upgrading to a 250cc
motor I'm not looking for more speed its torque for climbing hills and sliding my bike through the corners....

What I'm probably going to do is get a bigger motar, either the new Yamaha WX250r or the Suzuki DZR400

Cheers,
Ken

i'm also considering the yam wr250x.
i sat on it and i liked the sm125 ergonomics more, but i definitely need a bit more passing power on the expressway.
too bad mz didnt make a 250cc version
