2012-10-03 MZ exhibits at Intemot in Cologne a new single-cylinder engine for the single cylinder class. The cylinder head is not in the conventional sense of throttle. Instead, the lift of the intake valve of a servo motor and a sophisticated mechanism by drive-by-wire controls the throttle. This is intended, the fuel consumption depending on the load state on average drop by a fifth and thus the emission of pollutants.

The maximum power of 11 kW / 15 PS reached the four-strokes at 9500 revolutions per minute. The maximum torque is 13 Nm. The in-house development would for a resumption of the light motorcycle production are available, which is shown in Cologne as the MP 125 SF. CEO Martin Wimmer can also imagine a license production in the Far East for the local mass markets.

Also on display in Cologne is the study for an electric dirt bike. The engine Zschopau stand for a week in receivership. The former East German motorcycle manufacturer currently employs just under 50 people and offers mostly on electric scooters.
You're just left with yourself all the time, whatever you do anyway. You've got to get down to your own God in your own temple. It's all down to you, mate.
