Ts 250 knee grips

Postby veloce2003 » Thu Sep 05, 2019 1:33 pm

Hi, my Ts 250 has chrome panels on the fuel tank. Both of the knee grips seem to be coming away at the top. Are they just glued on? From the parts book schematics for the fuel tank it's not so obvious to me. Sorry to keep asking all these questions. Thanks again Michel

some older tanks have a rim welded on that the rubber pad fits into
rust builds up in the rim and has to be cleaned out and stopped
the BMW tanks before 1970 were bad about this
here where i live
its hot and wet in summer and wet in winter

and MR.RUST is THE KING of leaking gas tanks
