TS 250 cafe racer/scrambler style seat

Postby Kruh » Tue Jan 07, 2020 10:31 am

I don't like the look of the original seat. Its a bit too long and has a big hump in the back.
So I got this seat to improve the looks. It was only 25$ so I gave it a try. Its the same as most seats on aliexpress, ebay, etc.
The seat looks good, quality is not too bad, but it is very hard.

So if anyone was thinking about installing a similar seat, here is one way to do it.

The pictures are pretty self explanatory.
Its just two pipes connected with a bit of pipe on either end and the hardware that i got with the seat, welded right to it.
I made it in a way that the pipes go under the seat and are mostly hidden and the seat sits on the pipe themselves.
It mounts just like the original seat, to the original brackets.

Thanks for that Kruh!

I have also been looking at some of those seats, but I want to gain more height, and those seats are all pretty low. Not sure your exact method works for my 251, but something along those lines would be required.

Your bike looks absolutely gorgeous...
