the box in the trunk controls charge to the big battery to about 2 amps
the car can do ok with a 10 watt radio but no one can hear me with that low power
i have not used the trailer and radio at same time
i got it to haul junk when i sold the truck

Just ordered one of these for my ETZ251, where did you mount the control box ?

I mounted my control box using one of the holes with extra long bolt to the main earth pole on the airbox..

I fitted mine behind r/h side panel fits great

Here is how mine is affixed. Be careful not to overtighten the bolt in the aluminium. Also needed to use washers to raise the height to clear the junction box... Though I have so many earth wires connected not too many were needed.

It's a good solid place to mount it, and potentially dissipates the heat of the unit a bit better connected to the airbox/frame due to it's hidden position.
