Maybe this is why Mike Tyson wore gloves in his political debates?

Go to 4:55.
Thats a fabulous old video with plenty of reference points although rather fuzzy wuzzy blurred

I think you can blame that on the various VHS copy of a copy of a copy..

I find them very helpful- I'm glad they're around, and i'm glad there are English narration versions too. Obviously MZ thought enough of the British market in order to make the English.

Thank you puffs for the correction in time- yes 5.55 indeed.

I don't know but maybe they viewed English as the language to serve all of their exports to the west? Dire need for hard cash?
But indeed quite a few went to the UK, seemingly more than to the US.

Turning back to politics, in view of the OP's clear desire for that, I'm wondering if the end times had already started.

I don't know if the ETZ251 was ever officially sold in the States...(?) The only ones that are there now are in the Florida area, and they seem to have been imported from Cubans.

OK, but do you have an official workshop manual for the 251 in English? The 250 & earlier, I think, were exported to the US & Oz.

All I'm saying is that also some non-native English speakers can be served in English. Like me & a few others.

Well that's what I find odd.. There doesn't seem to be a 251 manual in English.... But there have always been English translations since the ES..

So when they make this film in '89/90 with their 251, they make a manual in some languages, but they make a film in english.. Maybe they thought:

a) they don't need to make an english book, 250 vs 251 is so similar. Unfortunately not alot of actual original documentation that came with the bikes are very easy to get hold of.. Each bike got handbook control manual. You can see this in the 251 video on the toolbag tray - though I have never seen one being sold in the UK (for the 251...).

b) the english speakers will just need engine info, so for that we give engine re-build in english on tape.. Which, I must say again- is a very good thing to have.. Following the steps and more importantly the proceedures of how to accomplish the steps are most useful when seeing it actually done!

3) As I say, the only known info I can gather from my years of research into these bikes, is that the US had only '73/74 year 125 and 250 TS models which were modified for their market with different tail and indicator lamps and a chrome headlamp bucket, but yes the Austrailians had the 250 ETZ model, for the full '81-89 production line it is unknown - but I can't see anything about either having the 251 officially, anywhere on the internets?

I think we'll have to just mark it down to one of those things that has no sense.

The 251 came at roughly the same time as when the wall fell, maybe that had something to do with it?
