250 ISDT paint match

I found a tank for a 250 ISDT that someone stripped the paint off of. Its supposed to be a red like in the photo (like the bike, not the boots). Has anyone out there ever matched that color using modern automotive paints? I could rattle-can it, but would like to make it an authentic match.

If it helps, I recently had some original paint on the side of my red super 5 tank, under the chrome panels, scanned and matched at Regional Pints in Leeds. The outcome is a deep red not too bright or fire engine ish and I like it.

I painted my tank with some they put into rattle cans for me and then added a coat of 2K clear to add a bit of fuel resistance. The paint reference they gave me wasn't a RAL or a BS colour code but is described as "KAPCI coatings P3403 Red" and seems to be a match to a Volvo colour, past or present, if you PM me an email address I can send a photo of my finished tank to give you an idea of the shade.

I recon that the red paint used for the ISDT replicas would be the same as the red used on the production road bikes.
