Location of TS125 frame and engine numbers.

Postby ricklincs45 » Thu Mar 29, 2012 6:32 am

Hi All,

I need to apply for a V5 for Ring-A-Ding but am having trouble locating both the frame and engine number - can anyone help please? I've found the plate stamped onto the left side of the rear mudgaurd with the frame number on, but is it also stamped into the frame itself somewhere?

As for the engine number, the motor is caked in old dirt and oil but I've cleaned off where I'd expect it to be i.e. on the top of the crankcases, but no sign of it - should I be looking elsewhere?

Thanks in advance,

Rick.

not sure about the frame number, but the engine number is on the kickstart side of the engine as shown

Ah! That's one of the parts which is properly covered in filth - will go and get the degreaser and toothbrush out. Much appreciated,

Rick

You might find a frame number on the engine mount just above where the engine number is but I've not got a TS near at the moment to check!

Cheers, will give that area a good clean and see what I can find. Have just noticed a spoke is missing in the front wheel and the rear of the left hand side panel has rotted away :-( Not sure how genuine the mileage is (showing just 3026 miles), but she's still wearing her original Pneumant tyres - in severely cracked condition!
