ETZ 250 rewire

Well, that's most of the job done to get rid of the rat's nest of wiring under the saddle and in the headlight shell, and to make it a bit more logical to work on in the event of a fault. Ended up with 5 bus bars in the headlight : for earth, 12V +ve, sidelight wiring spurs, indicator spurs and switchgear connections.

Replaced the really rubbish fuse box with an RS components unit which uses blade type fuses. Not only is it more waterproof, but at least you can easily get replacement fuses.

Also tidied up the ignition switch area, replaced the "one size fits all" lock with something that can't be switched on with snipe nose pliers. All wires apart from 2 are now in the headlight.

Installed a right handlebar switch cluster which has a sidelight, headlamp and kill switch. Saves having to take my hand off the left grip to wiggle the key.

Made up a voltmeter pod, mounted and wired this in also. After the regulator went mad and overcharged the battery which exploded a few years back, want to keep my eyes on the electrics.... oooh yesss.

Couple of days ago a solid state voltage regulator arrived in the post, and this is the next job to replace the electromechanical unit (see above).

The standard rear brake light switch was unreliable, so the other job is to replace this with something more robust.
