Hi there, can anyone help with the set-up of this, please? If anyone can post a photo to see where what bit is attached to what.

My bike is a 1987 MZ125 ETZ. This is the original from the bike. I discarded it to an old bits and opeices tin years ago after getting fed up with it.

The MZ Shop listing is as follows:
"Battery Retaining Strap Kit - ETZ125, ETZ150, ETZ250, ETZ251/301 for 12V 9Ah batteries"

After browsing through this forum and reading my own post I concluded that the reason this was difficult and confusing was because the battery I have now is too tall for this apparatus.

If can I remember correctly, I found a fixing space on the battery tray hidden behind the battery mat. The metal bracket rests over and secures the battery in place (with the screw in front).

I'm not sure if new batteries can still be obtained with the correct dimensions.

That screw you've got holding the clamp is far too short. It should be 40mm ish, then you'll find your search for a battery much simpler.

Take a look at item 7 on http://www.ost2rad.com/MZ-Spare-Parts/E ... ght-panel/
