ETZ / TS Downpipes

Will a TS downpipe fit an ETZ?

Reason for askiing is that the ETZ pipe sticks out a bit further than an TS pipe which has a much more sweeping bend on it.

Under braking the downpipe on my ETZ has melted a hole through the mudflap rendering it useless hoping that if a TS pipe fits it would stop it burning through the new one.

Thanks.

They look very similar.

Unfortunately I've never owned a TS, but looking at pictures, the downpipe on the TS tucks in a lot closer to the engine than the ETZ downpipe. It looks like it has a more immediate curve, shorter and possibly a slightly different angle entering the barrel.

However, comparing pictures. The only difference could actually be the length of the curvature, but the angle to which the exhaust on an etz might be different too as the exhaust on an ETZ does point upwards, instead of straight like the TS.

It's a difficult situation. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. :?

Yep - similar but different.

1. The exhaust port on the TS is about 15 degrees off the centreline of the cylinder - ETZ is central
2. ETZ 250 & EZT251 pipes are very similar, but different

So there you are downpipes are all subtly different and not interchangeable - I found this out from someone in the know.

Anyway good news is that I fiddled around with the downpipe & silencer and managed to get the downpipe a bit further into the silencer and gain a bit more clearance between pipe and mudflap.

Thanks for he reply blurredman.
