MZ ETZ 251 how to remove LH side panel

Postby alexxx » Fri Jun 23, 2017 5:19 pm

Hi Folks,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the left hand side panel, the right side with the lock is simple enough but I dont want to pull on the left one and break anything.

Thanks

it may be like my 500 with the rotax its part of the air intake and you need to look at the parts drawings in the parts book
the east Germans did it there way and some of it is very different to english usa or jap bikes

The left panel is not simply to remove, as it is the air intake box....

There are 4 Screws behind the cover for the air filter. You have to remove the air filter also.
Then you see the 4 screws.
And one screw under the seat ...
ans as far as I remember another one that connects it to the frame...

Thank you both for the advice and information, very helpful.
I was hoping there would be a toolkit/box recess but I guess they don't have that.

Hello

The toolkit was placed above the battery under the right panel...
