Postby DAVID THOMPSON » Tue Aug 16, 2005 4:56 pm

on the rotax powered bikes any make or model
using this motor 504e

a warning to check the nut on the engine chain sprocket OFTEN
mine has been loose 3 times in 4000 miles
the engine manual recomends loctite 221 violett low strength bond (in USA #=222)
on the nut plus the tab washer na24 rotax part #245 390
i had not used any loctite as i am not a big fan of glueing things together
but this area needs the sticky stuff
nut tourqe 100nm or 73 lbft or 885 inch lb

check yours
do it now !!!!!!
you will not be a happy camper if it falls off
