Drilling out steering lock

Any idea how to get lock barrel out to replace?

I did this a couple of years ago and it was't too hard. I drilled down where the straight part starts just below the key hole (if that makes sense). It looks like someone ha already had a go from the photo. One the drill has gone through you can turn the yoke upside down and tap the lock bolt and the whole thing should fall out. Ithink it'll be difficult to do with the yoke still attached to the bike but not impossible.

The simple way is to push the lock from the bottom through the yoke.
In case you find it difficult to push it when the yoke is still on its pace, remove it. It is not that big effort to do that...
