and if you don't like all the american /raptor links in the results, then read the thread that David posted the link to and order the XT660R/X part.

AWWWW. So sorry bill , Didnt realise you were so sensative and people chatting away in the forums frustrates you so much..I see CATS only input is to put me down even though i appologised in my thread and said i had already searched the tinternet with no luck ( of skill as it seems), I thought the essence of this forum is to help people out and make things easyer, why sould i spend more than 30 minutes looking for an answer to a question when i know OTHERS here would be only too glad to point me in the right direction,
Oh mutly,,you did it again, she he he he he ehheheheh

Don't want to make any enemies here, but it's in the nature of these forums that sometimes users will ask repetitive questions and may not find answers already on site :? If you want a well used site this kind of response won't help. We ALL make mistakes and overlook things from time to time.........especially me

I got a question and yes I did some searching before hand. Does the water pump seal get distrurbed during disassembley and if being replaced does the raptor seal work or not?
I just want to order all the parts at one time.

 Sometimes a gentle nudge in the right direction is all it takes, as I had when I started this thread. When I find something wrong and I can't fix it, I immediately think "how much is this going to cost me?" Then a quick search then asks questions. The MZ gurus knowledge is priceless and when they spill the beans it's like a reassuring cuddle off your old Dad letting you know everything's going to be all right :smt007 .

P.S.
The pump seal is an O ring, the one I stripped came our good so can be reused, the Raptor waterpump looks like a different setup to the MZ.

i was not talking about repetitive questions.
@Den:
1. you did not search for the part number. now you know - you can search for part numbers.
2. you were given a link to a thread where all the info was. you did not bother to read it, instead you asked questions which are answered in that thread....which led to someone copying a pic from there to here. It's called "you want to be spoon-fed."
3. it is internet. wtf is 'tinternet'.

Cat, You were talking about "may not find answers already on site". I wondered since joining why there isn't much chat on this forum, there is a little between longstanding members but nowt much if anyone is new from my observations. Others seem to wonder why it's quiet, as in the Where is everyone thread............now I think I understand why. There's nothing clever in abusing someone who genuinely didn't see the info for whatever reason, for the record the link you refer to does not show up well on my screen anyway. I have no intention of descending to any similar level of abuse though so will leave you to get on with it, shame as there is a very real need for a good site for these machines.

Give the guy(windmill) a break,he has a point, several in fact. He has been on the site a fortnight, each sites search is different, this one is different to the BM site I also use so perhaps "a hope this helps"and a link would be better than having a "go" we were all new on here once, for me not so long ago and luckily I have not had to ask a technical question, yet, I would like to think those in the know would help rather than belittle.

...and lets not forget the "exchanging words" value that is inherent to an interactive message board. It is good to search and all, but it is better to ask, get an answer, exchange ideas, and just generally enjoy the camaraderie that comes with individuals that have something in common.

I'm going to ask questions as I see fit--sometimes they may appear repetitive, but if I get flamed, that's okay--no internet key board ninja is going to dampen my day... Ultimately, I hope to learn and contribute by giving back by being here to answer the next wave of repetitive questions... 8)

Retired, no one ever really retires...

Colorado in June...
(Practicing) fly fishing is work, moving your arm so much...
Hiking, all those tall mountain trails...
Of course there's Red Rock for a concert, that might work!

Hey, future (around July) congrats!
