This might help you out on a budget. I believe it's the same pump. What's the problem with yours?

Sounds logical but I don't know for sure if there are any differences in the water pump area. Can you compare the Raptor 660 rebuild kit to the one in the link I provided? If they look the same, you are probably headed in the right direction. The site in the link also sells a great kit for the carb on our bikes. It improves throttle response and overall flow through the CV carb. But don't use their jetting recommendations.

yamaha part numbers tell a story

5LP-12420-00-00 is a water pump

4SU124200000 is a szr 660 pump note the first 3 letters

very good chance its the same pump

do a search for Yamaha water pump 12420
and see how many you get back
this may not always work
but it does very often
but caution 3yf at the start is the impeller not the pump
and some sites list what it fits

All the bolt holes on housing to case line up except one is off by about 2mm.

try rotating it and see if there is any where it lines up
and the pump fits

may be something in the case that required them to make one a bit off instead of equal spacing

so they could drill the hole and not have the bolt cause a problem

or on purpose to keep some one from putting the pump in the wrong engine

I found multiple OEM Yamaha parts on Ebay UK that show they fit the water pumps on both the XTZ660 and the SZR660. I'm pretty sure that kit I posted in the link will work. Maybe contact them and ask about MZ compatibility?

Edit: Just discovered that the XT660-Z and the XTZ660 are two different bikes. Sorry! I'd still contact them to see if it fits. Yamaha engines borrow lots of parts from one another.

My friends I picked up an OEM Yamaha water pump kit and pump is now working and not leaking. The only difference I could see with the kit is that the rubber gasket that houses the porcelain washer that sits in the impeller is of better quality. Again thanks for imput. I would like to know if the SZR pump would fit the MZ ?
