Mastiff carbs removal

Postby breakwellmz » Tue Feb 06, 2018 11:06 am

Any hints or tips on removal of the carbs from my Mastiff?
So far-tank off, all three cables, any visible tubes, air filter.Any fastenings have have a spray of penetrating oil to soak in overnight.
I assume they come off in one lump?

Hi

Thanks for that David.
It turned out not as difficult as i imagined, although not helped by working outside in the cold!
What did help was my lightbulb moment in deciding to unbolt the upper subframe location bolt. That meant the intake rubbers pulled away from the back of the carbs and gave me a bit more maneuvering room.
I took it out from the LH side.

Cheers
