I recently purchased a chain a sprocket kit from a reputable UK seller. I removed the locating circlip and speedo drive from the old sprocket carrier. It was a slight interference fit. When transferring the speedo drive to the new sprocket carrier I found that it was a clearance fit. The bore of the steel speedo drive is 38.5mm. Is a sprocket carrier with a boss of less than that just bad quality control?
